Reagan Davis hit a two-run double in the top of the sixth to give the Fleet a 2-1 lead over Biola University and the Fleet would hold on to win the 2019 NCCAA Softball National Championship.
Biola would take a 1-0 lead over Erskine in the bottom of the fourth. In the top of the sixth
Taylor Antley would lead off with a single and then
Faith Belue would pinch hit and reach as well. After Biola got an out, Davis would lace a double to right field to score both runners and give the Fleet the lead for good.
Davis led the Fleet offense going 2-3 with the double and two RBI's, while Antley and
Ellison Garren each added one single.
Hannah Houge (20-6) picked up the win allowing just one hit and striking out three in 3.1 innings of relief.
Davis was named the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player, while Houge and
Taylor Payne were named to the All-Tournament team.
