Sumter, SC – Third seeded Erskine defeated sixth seeded Belmont Abbey 4-0 Friday afternoon in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship.  The Fleet advance to take on second seed Emmanuel at noon tomorrow in the semifinals.  
 
Marie Berghaus and Luiza Souza won their number two doubles match and Eileen Rickert and Rachel Berkey won their number three doubles match to secure the double point for Erskine. Souza, Berkey, and Rickert each won their singles match to clinch the victory.
