Bristol, TN – Erskine and King split a Conference Carolinas baseball double header Friday afternoon. The Tornado won game one 5-2 and the Fleet won game two 9-0.
Game One
Nick Vella was 2-4 with a run scored and
Gregory Sanders was 1-4 with a double and RBI to lead the Fleet offense.
Drew Yniesta and
Kyle Heiss each had one hit and
Justin Fox added a RBI.
Zack Bowers (4-2) took the loss allowing two earned runs on eight hits and striking out six in six innings.
Game Two
Yniesta was 2-4 with a triple and two runs driven in and
Cory Everett was 2-4 with two RBI's to lead Erskine.
Chase Crouch was 1-3 with a home run and two runs batted in, while
Cole Warken added two hits and two runs scored.
Alex Calvert (7-2) picked up the win allowing one hit and striking out seven in six shutout innings.
