Wingate Defeats Erskine in Series Opener

Wingate, NC – Wingate defeated Erskine 10-3 Thursday night in the opening game of a three-game non-conference series.  
 
Corey Everett led the Fleet at the plate going 1-3 with a home run and two RBI's, while Kyran Russ was 1-2 with a run driven in.  Nick Vella, Cole Warken, and Kyle Heiss each had one hit.  Alex Calvert (2-1) took the loss allowing one earned run on three hits and striking out four in 3.2 innings of work.
