Due West, SC – Erskine split a Conference Carolinas double header with King University Friday afternoon. The Tornado won game one 4-3 and the Fleet took game two 9-7.
Game One
Thomas Lavin was 2-4 with an RBI and
Zach Carter was 2-4 to lead the Fleet offense. Nick Vella was 1-4 with a home run and RBI, while Austin Mapes was 1-4 with a run driven in. Grayson King (3-2) took the loss allowing one run and striking out three in 1.1 innings of relief work.
Game Two
Carter went 2-3 with four RBI's, while Lavin finished the game 2-3 with a double, home run and three runs driven in to lead the Erskine offense once again.
Trevor Wood and Connor Greene each had solo home runs in the victory. Lucas Coan (6-3 picked up the win allowing four earned runs on six hits and striking out five in 4.1 innings of work.
Trey Watts (4) recorded the save allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three in two innings of work.
