Due West, SC – Erskine exploded for nine runs in the first inning and held on for a 13-9 victory over Cedarville in game one of their three game series Thursday afternoon. The second game of the double header was halted in the eighth inning due to darkness with Erskine leading 9-2.
Billy Ryan led the Fleet at the plate going 3-5 with two doubles, a home run, and six RBI's. Austin Mapes was 3-4 with a run driven in and a run scored, while
Chaz Davey was 2-4 with an RBI and run scored. Drew Yniesta finished 2-3 with a double and two RBI's. Grayson King (1-0) picked up the win allowing two hits and striking out three in one inning of work.
Trey Watts (1) picked up his first career save allowing one hit in 1.1 innings of relief.
