Due West, SC – Lincoln Memorial took advantage of two early mistakes to take an early 2-0 lead and held on for a 3-1 victory over Erskine Thursday afternoon in the season opener for both teams.
 
Trailing 2-0 after the first 18 minutes, freshman Katie Cauble would score her first career goal as she lofted her shot over the outstretch hand of the Railsplitter goalie to cut the deficit to one.  The score would remain 2-1 until the 62^nd minute win Caroline Souza would score her second goal of the game to make it 3-1.  Sara Dooley made five saves in goal in her first start in an Erskine uniform.
