DUE WEST- The Erskine women's soccer team picked up a huge Conference Carolinas win on Wednesday afternoon over visiting Converse, 2-1. The Fleet's push to qualify for the Conference Carolinas Tournament for the first time in six years got a big lift with the win as they improved to 3-3 in Conference Carolinas play. Senior Ani Miller-Wells got Erskine started at 15:11 when she pounded home a shot from the top of the penalty box. Twenty minutes later freshman Maddi Cole pushed the Fleet lead to 2-0 as she scored her first career goal. Emily Bray assisted on Cole's goal. Converse answered back one minute later to cut the margin to 2-1. The teams played scoreless for the remaining 50 minutes. Sophomore goalie Sara Dooley had a big game, making 8 saves on the afternoon.
