University Park, PA – The Flying Fleet's season came to an end as Erskine fell to Long Beach State 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship Tuesday night.

The 49ers would win the first set 25-14, but the Fleet would respond in the second set and both teams would battle back and for the before Long Beach State would win 27-25 and then take the third set 25-20.

Mike Michelau had 14 kills to lead the Fleet offense while Roberto Perex Vargas had 11 kills.  David Grandy had 30 assists and Neal Stanley and Andres Talavera each had a service ace.
