Wilson, NC – The Flying Fleet could not overcome a sluggish first half as Erskine fell to Barton 83-68 Tuesday night in the first round of the Conference Carolinas men's basketball tournament.

Erskine would open up the game on a 5-0 run to take an early lead over the Bulldogs, but Barton would respond with 17-2 run to take a 10 point lead and the Fleet would not be able to recover.

Joby Glymph scored 23 points and pulled in eight rebounds to lead the Fleet.  Ray Lock added 15 points and Blake Manness scored 10 points in the loss.
