Due West, SC – The Flying Fleet scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh of game one to tie the game and won 11-10 on a walk off single by
Jacquie Hill. The Fleet then went on to win game two 10-0 in five innings.
Game OneTrailing in the bottom of the seventh,
Chandler Crawford would lead off the inning with a home run. Trailing by two runs with two outs
Brittany Reynolds would single to tie the game at nine. After Chowan scored a run in the eighth,
Lydia Trexler would tie the game with a double and then Hill would single to score Crawford to give the Fleet the win.
Hill was 4-5 with four RBI's to lead the Erskine offense, while Crawford and
Reagan Davis were both 2-4.
Candace Fitch (2-1) got the win allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three in 5.1 innings of relief work.
Game TwoThe Erskine offense stayed hot in the second game scoring 10 runs on 10 hits.
Davis led the offense going 3-5 with a home run and five runs batted in, while Trexler was 2-2 with a home run and two runs scored. Fitch (3-1) picked up her second win of the day allowing just one hit in five innings of work.
