Due West – The Erskine College Flying Fleet defeated the Bobcats of Lees McRae College 74-57 tonight in Conference Carolinas action. This win moves the Fleet to 8-9 on the season and 7-4 in conference play. The Fleet have now won six in a row and eight of their last nine games!
 
The first half was an offensive show for Kristin Giles. She was 5-10 from the field and scored 15 points. Christian Brown led the Fleet with 6 rebounds, and was 3-4 from the charity stripe. The Fleet shot 50% from the field in the first half to take a 41-28 lead.
 
The Fleet were led in the second half by Christian Brown's 12 points and 4 rebounds (21 points and 10 rebounds for the game).  Kristin Giles scored 17 and Raygon Hendrix contributed 10 points and 6 boards. The Fleet shot 41.9% from the field, and held Lees McRae to 57 points on 28.8% shooting.
 
The Fleet look to continue their stellar play this Friday as they host the Pfeiffer Falcons. Game time is set for 5:30pm.
