Tigerville, SC- Freshman
Darnell Oliver made his first career goal one to remember Tuesday night as he scored with 2:21 to play to help vault the Erskine men's soccer team past North Greenville, 3-2. The Fleet appeared to have complete control in the match after two first half goals from senior
Ross Henderson. Erskine led in the contest 2-0 after 79 minutes of play but then NGU found lightening in a bottle, scoring twice (79:27 and 81:55) to tie the match at 2-2. The Crusaders appeared to have the momentum from that point on but Oliver dashed their comeback hopes when his shot from the left wing dribbled in the back of the net. The win keeps Erskine undefeated in Conference Carolinas play at 2-0-1 and evens their overall record at 3-3-1. Erskine will play a huge Conference Carolinas match on Saturday afternoon at home against conference unbeaten Mount Olive. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 pm.
