Luke Boyce erupted for two second half goals and assisted on a third as the Erskine men's soccer team defeated UNC-Pembroke on the road Tuesday night. The win was Erskine's second straight of the season and its third consecutive win over the Peach Belt Conference's Braves.After a scoreless first half Boyce ripped a shot from the top of the box inside the left post at 54:01.
Ross Henderson and
Alex Waldthausen were credited with the assist. Boyce struck again at 75:49 with an unassisted goal to push the Fleet lead to 2-0.
Joe O'Neill finished off any hope for UNC-Pembroke with his 2nd goal of the season at 83:22 on an assist from Boyce. Freshman goalie
CJ Cluck picked up his second consecutive shutout while making seven saves. The match saw both teams attempt 17 shots. Erskine improved to 2-3 on the season. The Fleet open up their home campaign Saturday at Huggins Field against Conference Carolinas foe King University at 4:30 pm.
