Due West, SC – The Flying Fleet baseball team sent their senior class out with a win, defeating Wingate University 2-0 Saturday afternoon. 

In the bottom of the second, senior Hanlon Maivelett would reach on a fielder's choice and then steal second.  He would then score on senior Joey Wilson's single to center field to give Erskine the 1-0 lead.  They would add an insurance run in the seventh when Chase Watts scored on a sacrifice fly by Zach Smith.  That would be all Erskine would need as they took the victory. 

Wilson was 2-4 with an RBI to lead the seniors on Saturday, while Chris Moody came off the bench and was 2-2.  Senior Austin Gambrell (6-2) picked up the win allowing just one hit in four innings and striking out four.  Fellow senior Zach McAllister (7) got the save allowing one hit in a scoreless inning of relief.
