Box Score Mount Olive, N.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (5-5, 1-0) opened conference play tonight with a resounding 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-16) win over the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive (2-8, 0-1) in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at Kornegay Arena.
 
Erskine's Kristen Dodge (Duncan, SC, Byrnes High School) directed an efficient Fleet attack, handing out 35 assists along with 5 kills and 3 service aces.  Defensively she also had 9 digs and a block.
 
Marissa Greenough (Laguna Beach, CA, Laguna Beach High School) was the main beneficiary of Dodge's handy work, knocking down 10 kills on 20 attempts. 
 
Defensively Erskine limited UMO to just a .037 hitting percentage, a season-best for the Flying Fleet.  Erskine libero Kendall Kirk (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) anchored the back row with a game-high 10 digs.
 
UMO's Dezirae Mackey led the Trojans with 5 kills.
 
Erskine stays on the road to play conference foe Barton College tomorrow.  Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
