Box Score Spartanburg, S.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (15-6, 11-0) wasted little time disposing of the Valkyries of Converse College (7-16, 1-9) 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-14) tonight in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at the Tom and Hannah Tracy Center.
 
Erskine got a game-high 12 kills from senior Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) while junior middle hitter Kelly Sullivan (Wellington, FL, Wellington Community High School) contributed 11 kills.  Sophomore setter Kristen Dodge (Duncan, SC, Byrnes High School) had another extraordinary night, handing out 35 assists along with 5 digs.  Sophomore libero Kendall Kirk (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) led the Fleet defensively with a team-high 10 digs.
 
Erskine broke a 16-16 tie in the first set with a kill by Sade Mendez (Gardena, CA, Redondo Union High School) and an ace by Dodge.  The Fleet won the set 25 to 20 and the Valkyries never seriously threatened after that with the Fleet winning the next two sets 25-19 and 25-14.
 
Defensively the Fleet held the Valkyries to a .100 hitting percentage on the evening.  Katie Butler led Converse with 6 kills.
 
Erskine stays on the road to play Limestone College tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
