Box Score Due West, S.C. – In a tense five set match, the Erskine Flying Fleet (13-6) saw their program-best nine game winning streak come to end tonight at the hands of the Jaguars of Georgia Regents University Augusta (17-4), losing 3 to 2 (22-25, 25-11, 25-20, 23-25, 9-15) in non-conference women's volleyball action at Belk Arena.
 
After losing the first set 22 to 25, Erskine blasted a thrilling comeback to win the next two sets 25 to 11 and 25 to 20. In the second set, freshman Catherine McAlister (Charleston, SC, Bishop England School) showed a great promise, contributing three of her eight kills in the second set while senior Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) blasted seven of her game-high 22 kills in the third set.
 
After hitting just .111 and .103 the previous two sets, the Jaguars roared back to narrowly claim the fourth set 25 to 23.  With the game knotted at 19 to 19, the Jaguars scored the next three points to take a 22 to 19 lead.  The Fleet battled back twice to close within at point but after holding off game-point twice, the Jaguars tallied the game-winner to win the set 25 to 23 and tie the match at two apiece.
 
The Jaguars maintained the momentum holding the Fleet to a negative hitting percentage to win the fifth set 15 to 9.  The Fleet struggled offensively, committing seven attack errors in the set.
 
In addition to Bullock's 22 kills, junior Kelly Sullivan (Wellington, FL, Wellington Community High School) contributed 17 kills.  Sophomore setter Kristen Dodge (Duncan, SC, Byrnes High School) notched her tenth double-double of the season with 44 assists and a team-high 13 digs.  Sophomore Kendall Kirk (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) had a strong night from her libero position, contributing 12 digs along with 6 assists.
 
Erskine hosts Emmanuel College this Friday night at 6:00 p.m.  The game time has been moved up an hour to better accommodate other activities related to Erskinefest, the College's 175^th birthday celebration.
