Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) pounded a game-high 14 kills as Erskine blew past the Crusaders of North Greenville University tonight in straight sets (25-19, 25-20, 25-18) in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at Hayes Gymnasium.
In addition to her 14 kills, Bullock had 8 digs and 3 service aces. Setter
Megan Johnson (Little River, SC, Scholars Academy) dished out 33 assists while sophomore
Kelly Sullivan (Wellington, FL, Wellington Community High School) had 9 kills on just 14 attempts with no hitting errors.
NGU's Yomi Adeyeye and Hannah Helbert each had 7 kills to lead the Crusaders.
The win keeps the Flying Fleet (10-14, 9-8) in the hunt to host in the first round of the upcoming conference tournament to begin next week. Currently, there is a three-way tie for third place with the Fleet just a half game behind in sixth place.
Erskine will wrap up their regular season this Friday night against North Greenville University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
