Box Score Spartanburg, S.C. – Converse limited Erskine to .069 hitting percentage to defeat the Flying Fleet 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-16) this afternoon in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at Hannah Gym.

The Fleet (3-11, 2-5) played well defensivley at the net recording 7 blocks, including 5 block solos, but sputtered offensively.  Junior Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) and freshman Marissa Mayfield (Durham, NC, Riverside HIgh School) led the Fleet with 6 kills each.  Defensively senior Anna Butrym (West Columbia, SC, White Knoll High School) had 10 digs.

The Valkyries hit .351 as a team and were led by Ashley Brigg's 8 kills.

Erskine will look to snap their four game losing skid next Friday against conference foe Barton College.
