Box Score Due West, S.C. – After dropping the first set, Erskine won the next three sets to shock Barton 3-1 (19-25, 25-18, 25-15, 27-25) in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at Belk Arena.
With the win, Erskine (4-11, 3-5) snapped a four game losing skid and dropped Barton (6-8, 5-3) into a tie for third place in the conference standings.
After scoring the game's first point, Erskine lost the next seven points and eventually trailed by as many as fifteen points at 21-6. At that point, the momentum shifted as Erskine went on a 13-4 tear.
With renewed confidence, the Fleet crushed the Bulldogs in the next two sets, winning 25-18 and 25-15, to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
In the fourth set, Erskine overcame an early four point deficit to win 27-25 and the match 3-1.

Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) crushed a game-high 16 kills while freshman
A.J. Campbell (Pilot Point, TX, Pilot Point HIgh School) had a career-night with 9 kills on just 13 attempts, her highest hitting percentage in a game, along with 5 blocks, tying a career-high. Senior
Anna Butrym (West Columbia, SC, White Knoll High School) had a team-high 14 digs to anchor the back row.
For the Bulldogs, Marissa Cochran also had a game-high 16 kills while Kaitlyn Micol contributed 11 kills.
Erskine returns to action tomorrow against the Trojans of Mt. Olive College. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m.
