Box Score Tigerville, S.C. – Erskine opened their three-match weekend road trip with a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-19, and 25-16) over in-state rival North Greenville University tonight in women’s volleyball action at Hayes Gymnasium.
The win moves the Fleet (7-7, 6-2) into a first-place tie with King College in the Western Division of Conference Carolinas. Erskine plays King tomorrow on the road at 11:00 a.m.
Senior
Larz Chabra (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) directed an efficient Fleet attack handing out 23 assists while earning her sixth “double-double” of the season with a team-high 10 digs. She also had 4 kills, 2 service aces and 2 blocks.
Sophomore
Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) had a game-high 11 kills to lead the Fleet offensively.
For the Crusaders, Rebekah Mayes had a game-high 11 kills and game-high 15 digs while setter Abigail Frame dished out a game-high 28 assists with 12 digs.
With the victory, Erskine (7-7, 6-2) extends their win streak to four games.
Erskine will also play Carson-Newman College out of the South Atlantic Conference tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
