Fleet Punish Queens 3-1

Due West, SC – Erskine used a punishing attack to defeat visiting Queens University tonight at Belk Arena 25-16, 18-25, 25-16, and 25-13.  The Fleet hit an astonishing .339 on the evening with only eight errors compared to Queens .241 hitting percentage with 10 errors. 

Leading the Fleet attack this evening was junior Jamie Murray (Hermann, MO/Hermann H.S.) with 11 kills while setter Larz Chabra (Mt. Pleasant, SC/Wando H.S.) had 31 assists along with 7 kills.  Defensively, Sandra Campbell (Pilot Pointe, TX/Pilot Pointe H.S.) led the Fleet with 6 blocks while sophomore Brooke Dodge (Duncan, SC/Byrnes H.S.) had 12 digs.

Queens University was led by Alexa Sparell with 10 kills while teammate Taylor Riley dished out 21 assists.

Erskine improves to 7-4 overall and remains undefeated in conference play at 5-0.  Queens drops to 7-3 and 2-2 in Conference Carolinas.  The Fleet are back in action tomorrow as Pfeiffer University visits Belk Arena.  Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
