Spartanburg, SC – The Flying Fleet easily cruised past Converse College on the road winning the match in straight sets 25-17, 25-23, and 25-16.  Junior Jamie Murray (Hermann, MO/Hermann H.S.) led the Fleet attack with 14 kills on 21 attempts for an astounding .619 hitting percentage.  She also led the Fleet with three blocks.   Sophomores Liz Massey (Greenville, SC/Eastside H.S.) and Lauren Stewart (Hartwell, GA/Hart Co. H.S.) also contributed 7 kills apiece while setter Larz Chabra (Mt. Pleasant, SC/Wando H.S.) had 31 assists.  Libero Brooke Dodge (Duncan, SC/Byrnes H.S.) led the defensive charge with 15 digs.  The Flying Fleet improve to 6-4 overall and 4-0 in conference play.  The Fleet return home to host conference foes Queens University on Friday at 7 p.m. and Pfeiffer University on Saturday at 1 p.m.
