Men's Tennis Slips Past North Georgia

Dahlonega, GA – The Erskine men’s tennis team picked up their first win of the season by beating North Georgia College 7 to 2.  

The Flying Fleet swept the doubles matches to gain a significant advantage.  However, North Georgia made the Fleet work for the victory winning two singles matches and forcing three other matches to three sets.  The Fleet prevailed in those three matches winning the match 7 to 2.  The Fleet now stand at 1-1 on the season.  

The Fleet play two home matches this weekend.  USC-Aiken visits Due West on Friday with the match time now set at 1 p.m.  Erskine opens up their conference portion of their schedule against Mount Olive College on Saturday with first serve set for 10 a.m.

5.  Vincent Chauvette (EC) defeated Adrien Saulais (NGCSU)             3-6, 6-4, 6-4

6.  James Hoatson (EC) defeated Andy McMaster (NGCSU)              6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 6-4
