Due West, SC – On Tuesday, October 19th, the Erskine volleyball team is hosting their annual DIG PINK game to raise money to promote breast health education in the Due West community as well as raise funds to further research. In cooperation with the Side-Out Foundation, the Erskine volleyball team wants everyone to wear pink to Tuesday’s game against the Valkyries of Converse College in support of the cause. The team is charging $5 admission to the game and is selling DIG PINK t-shirts with all proceeds going to the Side-Out Foundation.
The Side-Out Foundation, a non-profit organization located in Washington, D.C., has raised millions of dollars for breast cancer research through volleyball tournaments, clinics, and rallies. Funds are currently devoted to cutting edge targeted therapies and molecular profiling. Side-Out also devotes a portion of the funds to local and national cancer support organizations.
