Madison Freeman enters her first year as the Assistant Women's Golf Coach in the 2024-2025 season after joining the Flying Fleet in July of 2024.
Freeman arrives in Due West after an incredibly successful five-year playing career at the NCAA Division I level that included a Big South Conference Championship and NCAA Regional berth this past spring. After spending her first two seasons at Sam Houston State, she transferred to Charleston Southern for her final three seasons, earning Big South All-Conference honors every year. She also carded a hole in one in the William and Mary Invitational played at Kingsmill Resort.
In her final season with the Buccaneers, she finished with a career-low scoring average of 74.71 across her seven tournaments. Along with earning Big South Second Team All-Conference, she fired a career-best 67 (-5) at the Rivertowne Invitational to finish top four with a tournament score of (-2). At the conference championships, she helped lead the program to their first Big South Championship since 2010 and a spot in the NCAA Regionals, competing in the Bermuda Run Regional hosted by defending national championship, Wake Forest.
In the classroom, she earned Dean's List honors throughout her years along with multiple national WGCA All-American Scholar honors. At the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season, she was selected to the Big South All-Academic Team adding to her list of academic awards.
Outside of the course, Freeman was heavily involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) serving on leadership teams from 2020-2024. Also, she was a member of SAAC while at Charleston Southern from 2022-2024.
Freeman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Charleston Southern University in May of 2024 with her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration- Marketing.
As a Spring, Texas native, she was a four-time regional qualifier from Klein High School, taking the individual regional title at the 2019 6A Regional Championship and qualifying for State. She ranked as a top-20 recruit in the class of 2019 in the state of Texas to go along with a decorated amateur career.
