Warren Turner

Turner enters his 15th season as the Flying Fleet Head Coach. He played collegiately at Presbyterian College. During his four years he was named to the All South Atlantic Conference team, the All Southern Region team and served as team captain.

After graduating from Presbyterian, he was hired as an assistant coach at his alma mater while simultaneously playing for the Greenville Lions in the USL 2 Professional league. 

During that time, Turner also served as head coach of Greenville High School where he led the team won two South Carolina AAA State Championships and earned two SCHSL AAA Coach of the Year awards.

After leaving PC, Turner served as an assistant coach at Roanoke College for one season before being hired by Erskine College in 2006.

In 2010, 2011, and 2013 Erskine Men’s Soccer finished in the season in NSCAA’s top 10 Southeast Region final ranking and the 2013 Conference Carolina’s regular season champion.

In 2010, 2013, and 2019 Turner was voted Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Coach of the Year by his fellow coaches. In 2012, he and his team won the conference's Sportsmanship of the Year Award.  

He holds an “A” coaching license with USSF and Advanced Diploma with the NSCAA.

He has a MBA from West Texas A & M University and teaches Business Administration at Erskine.

Turner resides in Greenwood, South Carolina, with wife, Carrie, and sons, Micah (11) and Luke (6).
