Adam returned to his alma mater in the fall of 2005 as the head athletic trainer and instructor of athletic training at Erskine College. He earned his BS degree in Sports Medicine in 1999 and his Masters of Education degree with concentrations in Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology in 2001 from Auburn University. During his time at Auburn, Adam worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation serving as the head athletic trainer at Loachapoka High School in Loachapoka, AL.
Adam began his professional career as an assistant athletic trainer at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian College. Adam left St. Andrews to work with the Arizona Diamondbacks as a minor league athletic trainer at both the rookie and advanced “A” levels. Adam returned to Erskine College in the fall of 2005 as the head athletic trainer.

In the spring of 2012, Adam returned to minor league baseball with the Cincinnati Reds. During that time, Adam worked in the Dominican Republic, with team Australia in the World Baseball Classic in Taiwan, and in Bakersfield, CA at the advanced “A” level.

After his one year sabbatical away, Adam returned to Erskine assuming a larger role in the department as the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Assistant Professor of Athletic Training, as well as the chief fundraiser as the Director of the Flying Fleet Club. In his role as Associate AD for Sports Medicine, Adam oversees the operation of the athletic training department in the provision of medical care to the student-athletes. As an assistant professor, Adam teaches three courses a year in Erskine College’s Athletic Training Program.

Adam has been certified by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association since 1999 and is a certified athletic trainer in the state of South Carolina. He has previously served as President of the Conference Carolinas Athletic Trainer’s.  He is currently the faculty sponsor for Iota Tau Alpha, the athletic training student’s honor society.

Adam resides in Due West with his wife, Ashley (‘97) and their two sons, Matthew (11 years old) and Daniel (6 years old).
