Erskine Athletics | Introducing our Athletic Trainers for the 2025-26 season

DUE WEST, S.C. – Earlier this summer, Erskine hired two new athletic trainers, Ryan Gunn and Dylan Truslow, to join its staff, in addition to the return of Rebekah Lloyd and Hannah Shouse from last year's staff.

Gunn (far left), who joins from the Philadelphia area, will serve as the Head Athletic Trainer for Erskine in 2025-26, and will be the primary athletic trainer for Men's Soccer, Softball, Men's and Women's Beach Volleyball, Women's Tennis, Rodeo, and Bass Fishing. Originally from Bermuda, Ryan has lived just outside of Philadelphia for the last 14 years prior to moving to Anderson, SC. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University - Berks College in 2015 with his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science & from East Stroudsburg University in 2020 with his Master of Science: Athletic Training. Ryan was awarded the NATA Safe Sports School Award during his 5-year tenure as the Athletic Trainer for Dock Mennonite Academy, Lansdale, PA. Ryan works with Erskine College's Men's Soccer, Softball, Men's & Women's Beach Volleyball and Women's Tennis programs. Ryan is also the point of contact for the Rodeo and Bass Fishing Club Teams. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his dog Tucker, his family & his coworkers. Ryan enjoys all Philly Sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles & the Philadelphia Phillies. "Go Birds!" "Go Phils!"

Shouse (second from left), enters her second season on the Athletic Training staff at Erskine in 2025-26. She attended James Madison University and graduated with her Bachelor's in Kinesiology - Exercise Science in 2022 and her Master's in Athletic Training in 2024. She moved to Anderson, SC from Purcellville, VA in the summer of 2024. Hannah was a co-recipient of the "Dr. Gid Alston Award" with her coworker Rebekah Lloyd at the 2024-25 Erskine Fleety Awards. In her free time, Hannah enjoys reading, spending time with her dog Marley, and keeping up with the DC sports teams. Hannah works with the Women's Indoor Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Baseball, and Men's and Women's Golf teams. 

Lloyd (second from right), also enters her second season on the Athletic Training staff at Erskine in 2025-26. She graduated from Spalding University with both her Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 2023 and her Masters of Science in Athletic Training in 2024. She is from Colfax, Indiana and moved to Anderson, South Carolina in 2024. Rebekah was a recipient of the "Dr. Gid Alston Award" at the 2024-25 Erskine Athletic Awards, alongside her co-worker Hannah Shouse. In Rebekah's free time, she likes to go on hikes, go to the gym, and hang out with her co-workers outside of work. Rebekah currently works with Women's Soccer, Cross Country, Women's Basketball, Men's Indoor Volleyball and Track & Field.

Truslow (far right), joins as the Head Football Athletic Trainer for Erskine in 2025-26. He spent four seasons in the Erskine Football program as an offensive lineman, seeing action in 16 games for the Fleet from 2019-2022. Dylan is originally from Florence, South Carolina. He graduated from Erskine in 2023 with a Bachelors of Science in Health Science, Franklin College in 2025 with Masters of Science in Athletic Training in 2025. Dylan is the primary Athletic Trainer for Football, Cheer, Dance, and Flag Football. He currently lives in Honea Path, South Carolina and in his free time, he enjoys playing golf. He will also work with Women's Flag Football, Cheer, and Dance, in addition to his role as the Head Football Athletic Trainer.
