HOW IT HAPPENED
In Erskine's first road divisional match of the season, it was the hosts who opened the scoring just 62 seconds into the game. The Fleet settled in after a shaky start and outshot the Lions in the first half, but trailed 1-0 at the break. Emmanuel found another early goal in the second half to double their lead.
Marcos Martinez Loureiro found the back of the next in the 78th minute to get Erskine on the board, but the early deficit proved to be too much to overcome.
THE TEAM
Erskine outshot the Lions 16 to 14, including a 7 to 5 advantage in shots in the first half and both sides made three saves in the match.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine has the weekend off before returning to action eight days later with a home contest against Southern Wesleyan University (2-4, 0-3 CC) next Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
