SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Erskine Women's Golf Team won its first ever Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championship, held at Cutter Creek Golf Club, earlier this week.
The Fleet overcame a slow start in Round 1 and used a dominant Round 2 performance to jump from fourth place into the lead. Erskine held onto their lead through the final round, winning the championship by a convincing five strokes.
Erskine was led by
Maddie McNeece and
Anni Krawinkel, who each finished in the top-10 individually in the event.

- The 54-hole event, hosted by Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C. is a three-day event.
- The course played to a par of 72.
- The field consisted of 11 teams and a total of 56 participants

THE FIELD
The Fleet won the event behind a superb showing Round 2, posting a 17-over scorecard in the round, nine strokes better than the rest of the field. Emmanuel's Keely Johnson won the individual portion of the event, with an eight-over scorecard, defeating Shorter's Abigail Cheney on the third hole of a playoff.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine will turn its attention to the upcoming NCAA Division II Southeast Regional, which will be held next month.
