DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (3-11, 2-6 CC) defeated the University of Mount Olive (1-12, 0-8 CC) by a score of 66-56 at Belk Arena on Thursday afternoon.
In a game that was moved up two days due to inclement weather in the forecast for the weekend, Erskine used stifling defense and timely shooting to earn its third win of the season.

Albany Wilson scored a team-high 14 points, including a pair of clutch threes in the fourth quarter, while also adding in a team-high 5 steals to go with 5 rebounds and a pair of assists.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 40% (23-57) from the field and an impressive 36% (5-14) from the three-point line. The Fleet were just 56% (15-27) from the free throw line, but held UMO to just 32% shooting from the field and just one made three-pointer in 18 attempts in the game. Erskine also forced the Trojans into 25 turnovers and outscored the Mount Olive bench, 33 to 5.

Erskine is back at home on Wednesday to host Southern Wesleyan University (4-9, 1-5 CC) at 5 p.m.
