DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (4-22, 1-17 CC) was defeated by Converse University (13-15, 9-9 CC) by a score of 59-42 at Belk Arena on Wednesday evening in the Fleet's 2023-2024 regular season finale.

Erskine shot 25% (13-53) from the field and 27% (7-26) from the three-point line, as well as 82% (9-11) from the free throw line. The Fleet dressed just seven players in their season finale and held their own against Valkyries for most of the night, but a 17-7 second quarter in favor of the visitors proved to be the difference.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
It is not confirmed yet, but more than likely, the Fleet will not qualify for the upcoming 2024 Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Tournament, so Erskine will head into the offseason and begin preparations for the 2024-25 season.
