DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's soccer team (0-11, 0-8 CC) was defeated by Southern Wesleyan University (3-9-1, 1-7-0 CC) by a score of 3-1 at Huggins Field on Wednesday night.
Hudson Lewis won and scored a penalty kick in the 16th minute to give Erskine an early lead, but SWU scored twice before the break to take the lead and added a third halfway through the second half.

Erskine was outshot 19 to 9, and SWU had a 9 to 6 advantage shots on target.

Senior forward
Hudson Lewis opened the scoring in the 16th minute on a corner kick as he fired in a shot that deflected off the arm of a SWU player in the box, earning a penalty kick. Lewis stepped up to take the pen and sent the Warriors' goalkeeper the wrong way, scoring his third goal of the season.

Erskine takes a break from conference play and heads on the road this weekend to take on rival, Anderson University (3-4-3, 2-2-3 SAC), on Saturday at 5 p.m.
