THE MATCH
Both sides approached the start of the match carefully as the two teams felt each other out for the opening minutes. As a result, Erskine and Belmont Abbey failed to create many clear cut chances in the first half. However, the second half was much more frantic and full of attacks as the sides began to chase a winner. The Fleet's best chance of the night came in the 82nd minute off a slick attacking move that set up Benjamin Martinez through on goal. The freshman attempted to round the Belmont Abbey goalkeeper but that closed off any shooting opportunity he may have had. Martinez laid it back into the path of Andres Rojas, but Rojas' first-time shot hit the side netting beyond the near post. Toward the end of the match, the Crusaders had a golden opportunity to steal a win, but a lofted shot from Sebastian Rodriguez in the 88th minute sailed over the crossbar. Andre Luiz Eusebio had a shot blocked in the 90th-minute but that was the final chance for either side as the match ended 0-0.

THE PLAYER
Erskine goalkeeper Evan Zizek earned his first clean sheet of the season, making 4 saves to keep Belmont Abbey off the board.

THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot by Belmont Abbey 8 to 4, and the Crusaders had a 4 to 1 advantage in shots on target.

WHAT'S NEXT?
