DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (0-12, 0-10 CC) battled Francis Marion, at home in Belk Arena on Wednesday night. The Fleet were led by strong scoring outings from
Shanece Mitchell and
Mariah Moody. The Fleet traded blows with the Patriots throughout the matchup, neither team truly gaining control until Francis Marion pulled away at the end to steal the game by a final score of 56-60.
THE PLAYER
Shanece Mitchell led the way for the Fleet with 14 points on 5-7 shooting and 3-5 from three point range.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 20-48 (41.7%) from the floor and was 10-28 (35.7%) from beyond the arc. The Fleet shot 6-13 (46.2%) from the foul line in the game.
