DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (0-9, 0-7 CC) faced off against Conference Carolinas opponent Southern Wesleyan University (2-5, 2-2 CC) at home on Wednesday.  The Fleet came into the game following an overtime loss to North Greenville last Saturday and one of their best shooting performances of the season.  The Fleet played strong the entire game, looking very solid on defense and explosive on offense with 3 players scoring in double digits.
The play of the game came as Erskine's Amaya Richardson nailed a 3 with 5 seconds to go in regulation to send the game into overtime.  The Fleet ended up falling behind in overtime early and were not able to mount a comeback, eventually falling 58-62.

THE PLAYER
Amaya Richardson filled up the stat sheet, pouring in 12 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal and 1 clutch game tying 3-pointer to send the game into overtime.

THE TEAM
Erskine shot 19-61 (31.1%) from the floor and was 7-28 (25.0%) from beyond the arc. The Fleet shot 13-24 (54.2%) from the foul line in the game.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet will take the rest of December off and start back up on the road on January 1st at Wofford University.
