THE SERIES
Erskine still leads the all-time series 7-3-2, but a Trojans win ended a stretch of three straight meetings won by the Fleet.

THE MATCH
In what was originally scheduled to be home match for Erskine, the Fleet were forced to return to Anderson University following a 4-0 loss there in the midweek and faced another tough test, this time against Mount Olive. The Trojans wasted no time getting on the board when Alfie Pope slotted home a goal in just the fourth minute to open the scoring. The Trojans continued to control the match and doubled their lead in the 20th minute when Roberto Hernandez scored. Then, in the 32nd minute, Amin Ferreira scored from a corner kick as Mount Olive took a 3-0 lead into the halftime break. The Fleet chances came few and far between as they managed just four shots in the match. Pope found the back of the net less than two minutes into the second half, and Francisco Macedo's header in the 62nd minute finished a 5-0 win for Mount Olive.

THE TEAM
Mount Olive outshot Erskine 25 to four and had a 12 to one advantage in shots a target.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet continue conference play on Tuesday evening when they make the short trip to Emmanuel College (1-6, 1-5 CC) at 7:30 p.m. Erskine holds a narrow 4-3-1 advantage all-time over the Lions and had a 3-0 home win back in March of this year behind second-half goals from Dennis Cole and Isaac White. But, the Fleet are winless in three trips to Franklin Springs.
