THE SERIES
Erskine still leads the all-time series 11-4 as an NGU win on Tuesday ended a brief two-match winning streak for the Fleet in the series.
THE MATCH
Erskine actually outshot North Greenville in the opening half, but most of their chances failed to threaten the NGU goal as all three shots on target for the Fleet were saved. Erskine goalkeeper
Evan Zizek made a pair of saves in the opening half as the match went to the halftime break scoreless. But, the home side started the second half on the front foot and found a breakthrough in the 49th-minute with a goal from Gage Acker. Just seven minutes later, as the Fleet attack was held in check, North Greenville doubled their lead behind a goal from Sebastian Duenas. That proved to be enough as the Fleet managed just two shots in the final 45 minutes in what was a 2-0 win for the Crusaders.
THE TEAM
North Greenville had a 10 to nine advantage in shots over the Fleet, while the sides tallied four shots on target apiece in the match.
