Due West, SC – Erskine scored five points in the final 30 seconds to take a 61-59 victory over Converse Tuesday night in Conference Carolinas women's basketball action.
The Fleet would trail by as many as 14 points late in the game, but slowly cut into the Converse lead. With 28 seconds remaining
Megan Davis would drain a three-point basket to tie the game at 59. After a Valkyrie miss, Madison Witt would get fouled going up for the go-ahead basket. She would knock down both free throws to give Erskine the lead. Converse would not be able to score and the Fleet held on for the win.
Davis would lead the Fleet with a career high 24 points along with six rebounds.
Dareisha Sowell added 14 points and
Alexis Scott had another double-double with 12 points and a game high 10 rebounds.
