Mount Olive, NC – Erskine had four players in double figures, but the Trojans rallied for a 65-63 victory over the Fleet in the regular season finale for both teams.
Erskine came out on fire in the first half shooting 50% from the field while holding Mount Olive to just 29% to take a 41-28 lead. The Trojans would turn the tables in the second half shooting 58% and erasing the 13 point deficit. The Fleet would have the ball with 18 second left in the game but could not get a shot to fall as Mount Olive held on for the victory.
Myranda Parham led the Fleet shoring 19 points, while
Naomi Stuger added 15.
Kristin Giles scored 13 points and
Raygon Hendrix added 12 points seven assists and seven rebounds.
Erskine secures the fourth seed in the upcoming Conference Carolinas tournament and will host a quarterfinal game Monday night against an opponent to be determined at 7:00 pm.
