Due West, SC – Lees-McRae scored a goal with less than three minutes left in the game to break a 3-3 tie and take a 4-3 victory over Erskine in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship. 

Trailing 3-0 in the second half, Cameron Whitehurst would score on a penalty kick to give Erskine their first goal.  Less than two minute later Niqell Dematas would score to cut the deficit to one.  In the 78^th minute, Kelsey Long would score on an assist by Stuart Lattimore to tie the game up for the Fleet.  It would not be enough as the Bobcats would score late to take the victory.
