Box Score Bristol, Tenn. - Despite a double-double from sophomore
Naomi Stuger (Marietta, GA, Kell High School), the Erskine Flying Fleet (13-11, 11-7) lost on the road to the King University Tornado (18-6, 13-5) 56 to 49 tonight in Conference Carolinas women's basketball action at the Student Center Complex.

Right before halftime, King University extended a two point lead to their largest lead of the half with a 6 to 0 run. Â Â Erskine's
Haleigh Spaulding (Ocala, FL, Vanguard High School) scored with two seconds left in the half off a steal by teammate
Megan Marrah (Travelers Rest, SC, Travelers Rest High School) to trim the lead back to six at 28 to 22.

In the second half, Erskine remained within striking distance, closing within four points twice in the last two minutes. Each time the Tornado responded with a basket to push their lead back to six points.

In addition to Stuger's double-double, sophomore
Kristin Giles (Union, SC, Union County High School) filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists.

For King, Chelsea Bowling was the only player to reach double-figures, tallying 14 points along with 8 boards.

Erskine travels to Spartanburg, South Carolina, this Saturday to play conference foe Converse College. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
