Banner Elk, NC- The Erskine men's soccer team's season came to end on Tuesday night in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament, losing to Lees-McRae, 3-2. The Bobcats scored first in the contest but Joe O'Neill tied the match in the 16th minute on a goal assisted by Jake Lochstampfor. Erskine took the lead 2-1 fourteen minutes into the second half when Billy Gray scored off an Erskine corner kick that got batted around in front of the net. Lees-McRae evened the match nine minutes later then scored the game winner in the 83rd minute. The Bobcats had defeated the Fleet in overtime on Saturday in Banner Elk, 2-1.
