Central, SC – Southern Wesleyan held off a second half rally by Erskine to defeat the Flying Fleet 88-81 in the Conference Carolinas opener.
Sophomore
Christian Brown came off the bench to lead the Erskine (0-5, 0-1) offense with 18 points. Kristen Giles scored 17 points for the Fleet and
Tyndell Mendenhall added 10 points.
Naomi Stuger had a game high eight rebounds in the loss.
Southern Wesleyan (2-2, 1-0) was led on offense by Aneysa Williams who scored 24 points, while Tomi Sanchez added 16 points.
Erskine will return to action December 1st as they host Limestone College at 5:30 pm.
