Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Women's Basketball Team will play their second of three road games Saturday afternoon against in-state conference foe Converse College Valkyries. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
Last night Erskine (11-7, 6-4) lost on the road to Belmont Abbey (14-6, 8-2), who currently sits in second place in the conference standings, just a game behind Limestone College.
Freshman point guard
Raygon Hendrix (Summerville, SC, Pinewood Preparatory School) dropped a career-high 35 points on the Crusaders, the most points scored by a Fleet player since former Conference Carolinas Player of the Year Porsha Morgan scored a school-record 38 points against Barton in 2008. Hendrix is now averaging 13.7 points per game while teammate
Kristin Giles (Union, SC, Union County High School), who had 18 points last night, leads the team at 13.9 points per game.
Converse (1-17, 1-9) defeated Pfeiffer University 62 to 53 on Wednesday to pick up their first win of the season.
Freshman forward Margo Dill leads the team in both scoring and rebounding averaging 9.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
