Erskine hammers Allen 93 to 60

Box Score Columbia, S.C. – Playing behind a tenacious defense, the Erskine Flying Fleet (8-5) hammered Allen University (1-10) 93 to 60 tonight in non-conference women's basketball action.

Erskine forced Allen University into 28 turnovers, 21 coming off steals that resulted in 30 points for the Fleet.  Freshman Naomi Stuger (Marietta, GA, Kell High School) led the Fleet's defensive pressure with 6 steals while pulling down a game-high 13 rebounds.  She also had 9 points, missing her first collegiate double-double by a point.

In all, Erskine had 13 players score on the evening.  Freshman Ashley Mull (Belmont, NC, South Point High School) led the Fleet in scoring, coming off the bench to score 15 points, going 5 for 9 from the field, including 3 of 6 from long-range.  Freshman point guardRaygon Hendrix (Summerville, SC, Pinewood Preparatory School) was the only other Fleet player to reach double-digits with 10 points and 5 assists that saw all 15 players play.

The 21 steals and 93 points are the most by the Fleet in a game this season.

Katrece Daniels led the Yellow Jackets with a game-high 16 points and teammate Khadijah Williams contributed 10 points.

Erskine returns home to host conference foe the University of Mount Olive on Wednesday.  Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
