Burns rallies Erskine past St. Andrews 13-11

Box Score Laurinburg, N.C. – Erskine rallied from five goals down to beat the Knights of St. Andrews University 13 to 11 in non-conference women’s lacrosse action.  With the win, Erskine (5-8) ties their record for most wins in a season.

Sophomore Samantha Burns (Hilton Head Island, SC, Hilton Head Island High School) led the Fleet comeback tying an Erskine single game scoring record with seven goals, set last year by Alesia Jerrells.  Kelly Dalziel (Ocean, NJ, Ocean Township High School) and Hillary Henry (Columbia,SC, Ridgeview) also scored two goals each.

Freshman goalkeeper Konstandena Brown (Wilmington, NC, John T. Hoggard High School) held the Saints to just three goals in the second half while recording 13 saves in the game.

Jackie Jones led the Saints with five goals.

Erskine returns to action this Friday when St. Leo University visits Huggins Field.  Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.
