Laurinburg, NC- Erskine women’s lacrosse slipped to 0-11 overall and 0-9 in the conference as they fell to the Saint Andrews Lady Knights Wednesday afternoon 24-0.
SAPC jumped out to an early lead as Katie Wright scored her first of two goals 21 seconds into play. The Knights jumped to a 17-0 lead going into the break.
The Knights went on to score 7 goals in the second half as they completed the shutout.
Kerrie Brown led SAPC on the offensive end as she recorded four goals and three assists.
Erskine Freshman Alesia Jerrells had two of the Flying Fleets four shots on goal but could not find the back of the net.
St. Andrews goalkeeper duo of Eryn McCaffrey and Meghan Powell each had two saves to preserve the Knights second shutout of the season while Erskine freshman goalkeeper Kaitlyn Overley made all eight of her saves in the first half.
The Knights had a 21-6 advantage on draw controls and the 26-12 edge on ground balls.
The Lady Fleet return to action this Saturday as they travel to Charlotte, NC to take on Queens University.
